About the Role
As an HR Officer, you will be a key part of the HR team, assisting with essential human resources tasks that support both employees and management. In this role, you’ll help ensure that HR processes run smoothly and align with company policies and industry standards. You’ll work closely with staff across departments and contribute to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your duties will include:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the recruitment process by screening candidates, arranging interviews, and assisting with onboarding new hires.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions and help resolve employee concerns professionally.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and documentation.
- Compliance Support: Help ensure HR activities comply with relevant labour laws and internal policies.
- Training Coordination: Assist in organising training initiatives to support employee growth and development.
- Payroll & Attendance: Support payroll preparation and monitor attendance and timekeeping records.
- Employee Engagement: Support workplace wellness and engagement activities that enhance team morale.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
✔ A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent
✔ A diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
✔ Previous experience in a human resources role (experience in the mining sector is an advantage)
✔ Strong organisational and administrative skills
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
✔ Good communication and interpersonal abilities
✔ A professional and ethical approach to handling confidential information
Demonstrating a proactive mindset and ability to work independently will help you succeed in this role and support the HR team effectively.
